Stan Kidderick, Ninja P.I. is not really a ninja at all. And in fact, he’s not even a very good private investigator. He can’t actually use the sword he carries around and he only wears a ninja mask, which he never takes off. He seems quite strange, but he’s just a man who coped with having everything he loved in life taken away from him, by convincing himself he was meant to fight crime as a ninja detective. Yes he’s lonely, and yes he’s only hiding from the pain of his former life. But he’s busy working whatever cases he can get using his true calling and talent in life, computers.
Andrea Zuwowski is a female NYPD police officer whose life is in a rut. Stuck living at home with her family, constantly meeting the wrong men, and trapped at the bottom rung at work, she just can’t seem to get what she wants. While all of her friends on the force are advancing in their careers, her Captain has kept Andrea working the worst jobs the NYPD has to offer. This is because of Andrea’s less then enthusiastic efforts on the job when first arriving at her Captain’s precinct. But that was years ago when Andrea only wanted to be a cop to drive her mother crazy. Lately she’s been trying to make a change so she can get her shot at doing more exciting police work. But no matter how hard she tries, she just can’t impress her boss.
Obviously we’re not giving too much away when we say that these two wandering souls meet each other and develop a romantic spark in the soon to be published graphic novel, A Ninja Named Stan. It is a romantic/comedy/adventure book after all, but not like other ones you’ve read before. We also won’t be giving too much away when we say that as Andrea and Stan try to figure each other out, they end up taking on New York City’s most notorious and daring burglar, Erik Wrathborne. To find out more, you’ll have to wait for the book itself, coming very soon!
